In 1986, the advert for the series was narrated by the legendary Vincent Price! And here it is (you will need to go to the You Tube link as the embedding has apparently been disabled!):

Note: all the photos below were taken from the Van Ash's website linked in the blog.
A young lady came to the shop on Friday; she mentioned that she was making jewellery, including some steampunk-inspired pieces. I told her to check out Rachel Van Asch's work, as some of it is steampunk inspired... And as I wasn't really concentrating, I missed one letter in the name...

Then I thought that a little blog on this very site and a link to her boutique would be completely relevant to the theme of The Curious Home...
Maybe one day the shop will be big enough to sell some of Ms Van Asch's pieces?

Rachel Van Asch was a founder member of the enchanting London classical/folk ensemble Mediaeval Baebes - I strongly recommend to go to one of their live shows, they are wonderful treats! - and used to design all their stage costumes.     Now based in  Stockholm, Sweden, Rachel has her own very successful design boutique and attends trade fairs, has appeared in countless design and lifestyle magazines, has been interior designer/decorator for some wonderful hotels...
Her creations are absolutely stunning: her work has a dreamy, elegant,  fantastical, edgy, unique quality... Van Asch sells "unique, original & handmade designer cushions, art, accessories and gifts".

So do go to her excellent website packed with images of her gorgeous creations:
